As to why Henrick's name was styled the way it is or why his wife wasn't named in the death certificate is a mystery. But to answer your question, the Hendrick Hoenderdos that died in August 1812 was, indeed, my direct ancestor. Evidence?Here should been written the name of the wife of Hendrik Jans Hoenderson and it isn't.
So he was not married.
So how he can be your ancestor?
